Not a good start for Se7en?

For Se7en to enter U.S market was already a naive idea, but because I like him a lot, I still wish him luck. Most of the Se7en die hards will probably disagree with me saying I should support him than being discouraging, but no matter how much we like Se7en, don’t we still have to admit the truth?

As I posted the news about YG and Se7en’s recent event in asia on my friend, ShenYue’s blog, these are the comments (or opinions) from americans:

wtf… all i can hear him say is “yeah.. umm.. soo yeah..” he realli has a limited vocabulary. haha now im positive his us debut will not succeed. Highschoolers will not buy a cd who they cant even understand.

lol…Shenyue and Seven fans always overrates him.I never seen any good in him other than being able to do hand-stand dancing. Never like his voice too.

Seven – pls keep in mind that only your cute face can’t help you succeed in U.S.A.

He is just a funny jerk. hahaha

Maybe that’s because English isn’t my mother tongue, but I could understand him very well. But He really seems to have not that much of vocabulary, and He searches his words. Except for that, I can’t understand why He would promote in Asia after working (so long?) on an US album… YG?

all the YG & JYP or whatever companies..they gotta learn from LSM..seriously..he’s the only one i’ve thought to have made many of his artists so successful overseas even though they didn’t do any promotional activites at some countries at all. *I can say that Rain failed..-_-* And why go to the US?? he’ll probably flunk like how hikki did.. *fyi..hikki is utada hikaru..she can speak english fluently..had awesome songs..but..still..she totally flunked in US but her record sells like MAD in Japan* They should have just paid attention in Asia. What LSM said is true, Asia will have a bigger market than US in no time..and obviously US won’t accept him especially when he can’t speak fluent english. Dang, forget about US pls, just focus in Asia.

^lol. quite agree with junsufan. and what LSM said was quite right. Asia will have a bigger market than US in no time. true.

and i can understand his english. lol! but i have to think back once or twice after the part he said he wants to be the first asian. XD

I can hardly hear him speak…

Honestly, with Rain and Se7en trying to enter the US market, both managements should do a better marketing and entry strategy for them. To expect them to drop an album, just saying that they’re big stars in Korea is hardly worth a second listen unless they get enough of the right publicity, right connections and seen at the right places.

HAHAHAHA I knew it, now ive actually talked to rain in english, and his english is hell better than se7ens. he actually knows what to say, for everyone who said rain could not speak english, they were talking out of their hiney holes. But srsly i thought se7en’s english would be better

like i said before, thats all he ever says! “yeah.. umm.. soo yeah..” I’m sorry but in order for anyone to really succeed in the US at this moment whether it be rain or seven is to quit entertaining and making albums and go to school to learn English.
At this point I am feeling that Rain has a better shot than Seven simply because of that movie Rain has coming out soon.
But honestly its easier for Asians to go back to their country to succeed (like hikki as junsufan mentioned, and I mentioned Edison Chen before).
So maybe Seven should have focused in China first then move to the U.S.
Or quit and go back to school. Do an internship at a music company for a while. Learn the industry American style and English while you are at.

Thu-tinh: Se7en is enrolled in a university. Nearly all Korean celebrity are enrolled in school.

It’s a good idea for Se7en to promote himself in China. You want to start out your album with a bang and with great reviews. Getting great reviews could spread to other continents.

China loves Se7en, he has a stronghold there. No one knows him in the US and no one gives him a damn. I think promoting in China is like a ego shot too. You need to build up your mentality to conquer the US.

Plus, China is one of the fastest growing economy. As the US, Europe, and Japan is slowing down economically, China is zooming. China also has 1 billion people, now that’s a market.

I hate how we talk about how well he speaks english. Se7en and rain are not from an English epeaking country, you can’t expect them to speak perfect English.

Personally, I think they should just forget about the US and fully focus on Asia. Western countries have to respect for Asian artist. We shouldn’t cater to their needs. Why does Raina and Se7en have to make an English speaking album. Why don’t American artist do Korean albums or Chinese Albums.

yah make me laugh..learn english?..dude, he speaks like that cause thats slang..who the f* cares if u speak perfect english or not at ur concert..its a concert, not a professional interview..

lol when he says “u noe wut i mean” damn that boi is really bein influence by american slang..i wouldntbe surprise if he starts to say “u feel me”

lyn- they make english album cause then everyone can understand..english is the #1 language throughout the whole world..y make an album that only certain ppl can understand? its all bout money, if u want to make more money-u got to noe who to target..if u gonna make an album that is n a certain language then why do it here n US? u aint gonna get much money..asian album=asian market, english album=american market and UK(english) markert and also asian market–money all around

is he trying to be “ghetto” or somthing…lol…his english is funny….he kept on saying “u kno wat im sayin”…no 1 knoes wat u’re saying bro….ur english is so bad…how the heck would u expect ppl to understand wat u’r tryin to say…..LOL

These above comments well displayed my true opinion on Se7en’s upcoming debut. Looking at the calender, time is running out! Is he planning to promote in the U.S with a limited English like that? If anyone don’t understand what I’m talking about, please refer back to this previous post from yesterday:

What can we say? Nothing… I guess~
